SiroBoon 2 mg contains Sirolimus, an immunosuppressant medication primarily prescribed to prevent organ rejection in kidney transplant recipients. As an mTOR (mammalian target of rapamycin) inhibitor, it works by suppressing the immune response, reducing the risk of the body rejecting the transplanted organ.
Sirolimus also has anti-proliferative properties and is sometimes used off-label for treating lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) and certain types of cancers. The 2 mg dosage offers flexibility in treatment plans, allowing doctors to tailor immunosuppressive therapy based on patient response, kidney function, and blood levels.
SiroBoon 2 mg tablets are taken orally, once daily, and should be used under close medical supervision with regular monitoring of blood counts, renal function, and drug levels to avoid complications.
