Solonex 300 mg contains Isoniazid, a first-line antitubercular medication used in the treatment and prevention of tuberculosis (TB). Isoniazid works by inhibiting the synthesis of mycolic acid, an essential component of the bacterial cell wall, effectively killing Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Solonex 300 mg is commonly prescribed as part of a combination therapy regimen for active TB, as well as for latent TB infection (LTBI) to prevent the progression to active disease. It is usually taken once daily, on an empty stomach, for optimal absorption.
